Testimonials

“I've always considered myself a strong-willed, independent woman with a great deal of compassion, honesty and transparency and very seldom asked others for help. I've also known that I have a temper and can be unforgiving if someone hurts me or my family. Therefore, I knew I needed help but never made time to seek it out. Attending the workshops has added a new positive perspective to my life. I've learned how to become a better person. I am worth it, as well as, you are worth it. When we attend the workshops and apply what we learned, we will see the results. After the workshops, I began to exercise what I learned and apply it to my daily routine. I was able to understand my patterns and what Lifetraps and Ego states are and how they influence my decisions. The workshops allowed me to meet and communicate with awesome people who shared their experiences as well. I then realized they were just like me, trying to find their way in life. I have a broader perspective on understanding how I think, my feelings, my behavior, and the consequences. I learned how our Ego states intertwine. The best part of this workshop is it creates a safe haven to feel heard and seen and unjudged. Knowing that you are not alone. Someone else has experienced the same amount of pain, more or less but still pain. I truly believe the workshops added value to my life. I am eternally grateful!. Thank you!! ”

“My life can be stressful at times. Taking care of a young adult with special needs can be overwhelming and has on occasion caused me to isolate myself. I’m thankful I was able to participate in some of the forums, which provided a safe space for me to share my experiences. It helped remind me of the importance of self-awareness regarding my physical and mental health. • The camaraderie of women supporting one another was a plus! Although my journey may be different from others, I feel there is always a common need for support, encouragement and overall empowerment of women. I am happy to say all these attributes were in abundance on every occasion, and when I need a boost in my mental health, I’m glad there is a place I can go!”

“The She Shed Lounge series “Grapevine Connection” has been a series of group discussions consisting of subjects that affect women. I received an invitation to attend and I am so glad I accepted. Whether just listening, asking questions or actually giving my input, I was able to glean information, knowledge and a kinship from what these women wholeheartedly shared. I am thankful they accepted the invitation. It has been helpful to find shared interests, issues and joys. It has also helped to have differences of opinions and solutions to take into consideration when dealing with situations with others as well as with ones self, along with being of assistance. Being a part of the She Shed Lounge- Grapevine Connection has been a wonderfully beautiful experience and I truly looked forward to each and every Zoom workshop. Women helping each other. We can all benefit from this.”

“I have always been a firm believer that the sum your life experiences consist of both negative and positive occurrences. It’s your choice to choose the one to embrace. You see; family is my life source. The connections, interactions, gathering, vacation trips and the spiritual bond has always been the dynamics of my family bond. It gave me the mental clarity of the purpose of family and I was content with that knowledge. Then the Pandemic hit. Like a tsunami wave of negative energy; my life became a new normal and fighting to maintain a positive attitude was challenging to say the least. Then like a ray of sunshine, the introduction of The She Shed Lounge’ series, ‘Grapevine Connection’, was presented via zoom and I was rejuvenated with a positive sense of connection again. The workshop presented a safe space for me to interact and communicate with other women that were not my family. In lieu of that, it allowed me to communicate my thoughts associated with some of my past experiences that contributed to my mental and spiritual growth. It was a comfort zone for me. The highlight of my experiences was helping others to learn from my experiences and me to learn from theirs. This is a needed venue for women and I’m looking forward to others.”

“I have enjoyed all the camaraderie. Being able to have open discussions with women from all walks of life, some of whom I’ve known a majority of my life and others that I’ve had the pleasure of just meeting, has really enlightened my life.”

Over the summer of 2022 I was invited to join in a series of groups via zoom with a lot of wonderful women. I would need to write a book on how these groups and participants helped me to navigate through some of the darkest times in my life. I truly think these groups are a benefit to all women because the topics were about women issues, these groups gave me comfort and direction when I did not have people to talk to that would really understand what I was going through. I would like to say thank you to all the women I met through these groups.

One day my dear friend invited me to a Zoom meet up with a group of women I didn’t know for the purpose of sharing an open dialogue about life experiences ranging from aging, friendship, loving ourselves to how we handle that coworker who just “gets on our nerves”. It was different for me because I find it hard to open up to people I don’t know. But what I found was a group of woman who were just like me. They were wives, mothers, funny, tired, hopeful, seeking and caring. And one of the best parts of the group conversations was the humor. I NEEDED THE HUMOR. I am so grateful I was invited, took the leap and joined in. I am looking forward to many more group sessions because I can feel a sense of Sisterhood, Community, Friendship, Openness and Humor. It’s just what the doctor ordered!!

“There’s nothing like having a sister’s support” The She Shed Lounge has done that for me. It’s a safe space where women can fellowship, share ideas, laugh, cry, pray and everything else in between. Thank you Pam, having this outlet is awesome!
