About Us

The She Shed Lounge

During the pandemic, connection and bonding was difficult for everyone. We realized that there were many areas in our lives that were left untouched and unresolved.

As a solution to this dilemma, we began to explore ways to address this void. The three of us came together and discussed our personal relationships, our relationship as sisters, and the relationship with our family. In order for us to be successful and get everyone’s story, we needed the voices of other family members. The impact was so great that we decided to reach out to more family members and other women through Zoom to have them participate in the conversations.

The Grapevine Connection was established in 2020 to provide a platform for women to share their own story in a supportive environment. As these monthly workshops continued to grow, we realized how important it is for women to have a safe space to be vulnerable and transparent with other women.

In 2022, the word “She Shed” came up in conversation and we explored its meaning. It’s a personal space for women to relax and be themselves so they can reflect and refocus. It was at that time that the Grapevine Connection transformed into The She Shed Lounge LLC.

Testimonials

The “Grapevine Connection” has been a series of group discussions consisting of subjects that affect women. I received an invitation to attend and I am so glad I accepted. Whether just listening, asking questions or actually giving my input, I was able to glean information, knowledge and a kinship from what these women wholeheartedly shared. I am thankful they accepted the invitation.

“I have always been a firm believer that the sum your life experiences consist of both negative and positive occurrences. It’s your choice to choose the one to embrace. You see; family is my life source. The connections, interactions, gathering, vacation trips and the spiritual bond has always been the dynamics of my family bond. It gave me the mental clarity of the purpose of family and I was content with that knowledge. Then the Pandemic hit. Like a tsunami wave of negative energy; my life became a new normal and fighting to maintain a positive attitude was challenging to say the least. Then like a ray of sunshine, the ‘Grapevine Connection’, was presented via zoom and I was rejuvenated with a positive sense of connection again. The workshop presented a safe space for me to interact and communicate with other women that were not my family. In lieu of that, it allowed me to communicate my thoughts associated with some of my past experiences that contributed to my mental and spiritual growth. It was a comfort zone for me. The highlight of my experiences was helping others to learn from my experiences and me to learn from theirs. This is a needed venue for women and I’m looking forward to others.”
